Nazariya means the way you see something.
We named the studio for a word that doesn't translate cleanly — a way of looking, a perspective, sometimes a protective gaze. It felt right for a label built on paying close attention: to a client's body, to a karigar's craft, to a fabric before it's cut.
Story One — The Founder
Charul.
Charul trained in garment construction before spending several years working alongside embroidery karigars across Rajasthan — learning, in her words, "how much of couture is actually just patience, applied by someone skilled, for a very long time."
Nazariya By Charul started in 2019 as a single-client bridal commission and grew by referral, one wedding and one word-of-mouth introduction at a time. The studio still takes on a deliberately limited number of pieces each season — not because demand isn't there, but because the karigar relationships this brand depends on don't scale past a certain point without losing what makes the work good.

Story Two — The Karigars
The hands that make it.
Every technique on this site — zardozi metal thread work, hand-set mirror work, directional sequin embroidery, hand-strung pearl detailing — belongs to karigar families who've worked in embroidery for generations, not to the studio that designs around it.
We've worked with the same six families since our first two years, which is deliberate: this kind of craft gets better with a relationship, not a transaction. A share of every commission goes directly to the hands that made it.

Consultation
In studio or over video — occasion, silhouette, fabric and budget, before anything is designed.

Design & Measure
We confirm the design and price, then take measurements — in person or through a guided kit.

Handwork
Fabric is cut and passed to our karigars. Bridal pieces can take up to 300 hours of hand embroidery.

Fitting & Delivery
One or two fittings to get it exactly right, then delivery — pan-India or internationally, fully insured.
